I have made a career of providing people with the tools they need to answer their own questions and find their own solutions. Before obtaining my real estate license in 1990, I worked for years as a teacher, counselor, and university administrator. Today I continue to listen closely to clients in order to help them identify and achieve their goals. When I'm not selling homes, you'll find me taking dance classes, working in my garden or sewing. I now have time for those things since I've completed several home remodels! Having a background in home renovation enables me to have access to a large network of talented, reliable contractors than I am happy to share with you. (I can also give you names of excellent dance instructors!)
Buying or selling a house can be exciting, confusing, and frightening all at once. Dreams and hard-earned dollars are on the line. An intimidating array of questions must be answered. And there are so many possibilities. As you embark on this journey, the last thing you need is a sales pitch. That's why I consider myself a guide rather than a salesperson. My job is to help you discover what you want and then give you the information and support you need to find it. I'm here to assist you in the process, not call the shots. I start by listening carefully. If you're a buyer, I strive to make the best use of your time by showing you only homes that meet the parameters we have identified together -- including price. Each home comes with positives and negatives, and part of my job is to be honest with you about both. After all, it doesn't serve either one of us if you buy a home you're not happy with. If you're a seller, I provide you with all the information I have regarding the local market so that we can arrive at the right price for your home. In the negotiation process, I will always represent your interests with integrity and respect for your intentions. Part of my job includes making sure that you have access to other skilled real estate professionals. Over the past ten years I've developed a network of lenders, inspectors, contractors, and real estate attorneys whom I trust and who have served clients well in the past. Together, we'll get your job done.
